The Hotel Regina is ideally located in the renowned village of Wengen, in the heart of the Jungfrau region, offering a privileged setting among Switzerland's exceptional landscapes, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our room department is looking for a:

Front Office Manager

Strong accent is to be given to the hospitality towards the guest as a prime goal and thus to maintain and develop the attitude of the related staff.
Close co-ordination between, Housekeeping, Sales and Marketing, Engineering as well as Food and Beverage regarding regular and especially irregular business.
To maintain high standards of quality in line with Relais & Châteaux requirements, and service and facilities in all departments over which he/she has responsibility and authority.
He/she is responsible for the overall smooth and economical running of the Front Office department.
Assisting in supervising and implementing the Operational Standards as well as the Hotel’s internal rules and regulations.

Contract: 100% fixed-term contract

Starting date: end of November 2024


MISSIONS

Non-exhaustive list of activities & tasks

  • Create unique experiences and act as an ambassador for the hotel and destination in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
  • Convey a positive image of the hotel through exemplary attitude and professionalism.
  • Ensuring that all departments receive the correct information.
  • Supervise and training reception and reservations staff.
  • Monitor the day's departures and arrivals and coordinate with the housekeeping department.
  • Handling customer requests and complaints and implementing standards procedures to manage them.
  • Define the accommodation pricing policy with the hotel manager.
  • Ensuring administrative follow-up of the team (scheduling, training, etc.)
  • Manage/coordinate customer invoicing and supervise cash handling.
  • Help other department when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

PREREQUISITES 

  • 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Hotel training required.
  • Bilingual German/English.
